MY STORY

Born and raised in the culinary-rich city of Naples, Italy, Angelo Sannino has always had a passion for authentic Italian cuisine. His journey began in his hometown, where he developed a deep appreciation for traditional cooking techniques and high-quality ingredients. In 2002, Angelo made the bold decision to immigrate to San Francisco, seeking new opportunities to share his love for Italian food. Over the years, he has had the privilege of managing several high-end restaurants, including Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills and Trattoria Dell’Arte in New York City. In 2014, together with his business partner Gianni Chiloiro, Angelo founded Doppio Zero, bringing a taste of Southern Italy to the Bay Area. Now, with Gusto Mio, he is excited to continue his culinary journey, offering the vibrant community of Walnut Creek an authentic Italian dining experience that reflects his heritage and passion.

Angelo Sannino's life is fueled by two great passions: his love for authentic Italian cuisine and his devotion to soccer, particularly as a fervent Napoli fan. Growing up in Naples, Angelo's culinary journey began with a deep appreciation for traditional cooking techniques and high-quality ingredients, which he now brings to every dish at Gusto Mio. His dedication to creating exceptional dining experiences is matched only by his enthusiasm for soccer. As a loyal supporter of SSC Napoli, Angelo's love for the game is an integral part of his life, reflecting the same passion and energy he brings to his restaurants. Whether he's cheering for his favorite team or crafting a new menu item, Angelo's commitment to excellence shines through in everything he does.
